Domaines des Tourelles
Recruited at first by a French company in charge of the works for the Beirut-Damascus road, François-Eugène Brun succeeded in making his dream come true by producing wine and Arak. This is when Domaine des Tourelles was born. After François-Eugène, there were Louis Brun, then Pierre Brun. Three generations of wine lovers, of Bekaa lovers and Lebanon lovers. 150 years of passion for the wine and the land. Today more than 150 years since it was established, Domaine des Tourelles is run by the next generation of the Issa & Issa el Khoury families – making it the country’s youngest winemaking team running the country’s oldest winery.
Ashkar Winery
Ashkar Winery is a boutique winery located on a pastoral hill in Kufur Yasif village. The winery was founded in 2010 by Nemi Ashkar as a continuation of a long tradition, started by his family’s homeland village Iqrit. A beautiful hill that is surrounded by dozens of antique presses that were used for making wine from grapes growing in the region. Their vision is to create wines that would stand in the company of the finest wines in the world and to reclaim the family’s homeland territory and there rebuild the winery.
Philokalia
Philokalia, established in 2015, embodies the love for beauty and goodness. Inspired by the rich wine history of Palestine, they embarked on this journey. The founder, Mr. Sari Khoury, met Nasser Soumi, a Palestinian artist and wine connoisseur, who shared the fascinating wine heritage of Palestine. With guidance from Pascal Frissant, a seasoned winemaker, they pursued their dream of a Palestinian winery. Mr. Khoury's dedication led him to leave his job as an architect in Paris in 2014 to focus on producing wine exclusively from native grape varieties. Today, they proudly craft 10,000 bottles annually, striving for the highest quality wine. Join them on this extraordinary wine-making adventure!
